Halloween

This Halloween was fun!  The boys are still learning the ropes of all this holiday has to offer, but year after year they get to do more to celebrate it.  :)
We carved pumpkins this year... a first for us!
We carved them the day before Halloween.  The comments were of plenty and the over all just was that the insides were gross!
John's first time seeing the insides of a pumpkin... icky!
Can you see the disgust on his face?

Stephen surprised me!  He really enjoyed digging out the pumpkin guts!

Show me your hands!
So careful to get each "icky thing" ; )

Careful.... careful.

"Dad, can you help me??"  That's when the power tools came out... quickly!

All finished!
John's pumpkin is actually in front of Stephen, and Stephen's is in front of John.

We also went to Great Grandma Evie's to trick-or-treat in her building - this was our third year there!
Isabelle (Angel),  John (Farmer), Stephen (Farmer), Katie (Tiger), Abby (Polar Bear)
It was so fun the Beach's could come too!

There goes the troops - on mission, CANDY! ; )

Who needs super heroes when you have Uncle Dan?!

S.L.O.W. D.O.W.N.  Says your mother! : )

Fun had by ALL!
Jana set up a little version of the Not So Haunted Forest for the boys to do the Sunday before Halloween.  The boys loved the gnomes, songs and little villages!

Smile!!  Just starting into the woods!

A little gnome party!  Maybe the tea party?

The boys collected little nuts and pine cones before they started out on the path to leave at each little site for the gnomes.... here they are dropping corn and acorns : )

And of course wheel barrow rides!!!

AGAIN!! AGAIN!!!

Wahoo!! The giggles were so fun!

The boys opening their Halloween cards from Gramma Mitty and Papa

After SJ's surgery all he wanted was a pumpkin cake... so John and I made this for SJ.   : )

Halloween Dinner -- Mummy's!  John wrapped the hot dog's in rolls.  pretty cute!  ; )

Uncle Dan X 2!  Farmers!!
